Just finished this repair in the rec next to my ho

Just finished this repair in the rec next to my house. Was nice not to have any commute and to be able to work in a sectioned off area. Working on our own one at a time was unusual and actually a good thing. It took me back a few years when the work was simpler and slower. I felt more connected to this project than I have recently. Not that I don't enjoy all the work we do but it definitely had a different feel of a more personal achievement. It was also nice to be able to have a measure up now and then and know that I'm still up to speed 😎 we don't have much on now due to the present situation etc etc so am taking the well earned opportunity to sort some of my place out. Took delivery today of my new (old and restored) y

Took delivery today of my new (old and restored) yorkshire pattern axe, purchased for future hedgelaying antics next season 🤩 it is a work of art and a thing of beauty! Bought back to life and hung on a hand carved ash handle, with a yew wedge, by @theaxeandedgetoolco a true traditional craftsman! 😍 chuffed to be the present custodian of this untill the next hands.
